Boys Hockey: Sauk-Prairie’s boys high school hockey coop has some momentum as they head into a road game in Onalaska against the Aquinas Avalanche tonight. The Sauk group lost their first two games in Spooner last week before an exciting win 3-2 over Baldwin-Woodville in overtime with Sam Hefty scoring the game-tying goal with 30 seconds left in regulation before also scoring the game-winner. The Sauk coop is now 2-10 overall but 2-2 over the last four. The Aquinas coop is 1-7 as they host tonight at 7 PM.
Reedsburg-Wisconsin Dells visits Madison tonight for a matchup with Madison Memorial in high school boys hockey in a 7:30 PM face-off at Madison Ice Arena. RWD lost two of three at the Monk’s Winter Classic in the Dells last weekand that gives them a 4-9 overall record. All four RWD wins have been shut-outs but they’ve given up five goals or more in five of the nine losses. Madison Memorial is 6-5 on the season.
Boys Swimming: Coach Heather Frank’s Baraboo Thunderbird boys swim team competes at the Stoughton Invite today. Baraboo did have four first’s in their Triangular last week with Niles West in Illinois and Chippewa Falls but finished last in team scoring.
Sauk-Prairie-Wisconsin Heights will swim at the Milwaukee Marquette Invite today after placing fourth in their five-team Invite last weekend with no first place finishes.
