Coaches Katie Matthews for the girls and Phil Halser for the boys have announced the award winners for Reedsburg Beaver Track and Field for 2013. The girls squad placed 5th in Badger North but Junior Brittany Schyvinck won another conference title in the 400 with the 800 relay and 3200 relay also winning conference titles. Schyvinck went on to a State berth for the second year in a row in the 400 and placed 9th at State while Senior Abby Clement returned to State in the 100 and Sophomore Tommie Brenner qualified for State in both the 100 hurdles and pole vault. Senior Katie Ratajczyk won the Coaches Award with Senior Becky Ratajczyk the recipient of the Emily Gehrke Award. Freshman Ali Mundth is the Rookie Of The Year with Sophomore Tommie Brenner Most Improved. Junior Brittany Scyvinck and Senior Sarah Zastrow share Most Dedicated honors while Junior Angie Utley is the field events MVP and Senior Abby Clement is the track events MVP.
Reedsburg placed 6th in the boys portion of the Badger North meet with Senior Jake Nemitz winning a conference title in the pole vault and he went on to be a State Meet qualifier in that event as well, placing 11th at State. Sophomore Dustiin Tourdot also was a Sectional qualifier in two events for the Beaver boys. Senior Jason Whalen won the Coaches Award with Junior Brandon Crolius winning Most Dedicated honors. Sophomore Cody Holby is the Most Improved athlete while Freshman Jack Yager wins the Rookie Of The Year award. Senior Jake Nemitz is the field events MVP with Sophomore Dustin Tourdot the track events
