Coach Bob Marquardt’s Sauk-Prairie girls basketball team got off to a fast start in the 2012-2013 season but injuries hurt the Eagles down the stretch as the team held their awards banquet recently. Sauk-Prairie finished the seas0n 8-16 overall after a 6-4 start and Sauk was just 1-11 in Badger North, losing several close games. Sophomores Kaylee Selden and Olivia Rauls shared the Most Improved Player award and Junior guard Georgia Breunig again wins the team MVP award. Breunig is a repeat selection as an all-conference first team selection with Freshman Ali Roach and Junior Lindsay Sauer both earning all-league honorable mention and both suffered season ending injuries in the second half of the season.
