Coach Brian Bestor has announced his team’s award winners for the 2012-2013 Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball season. The Beavers had a 14-11 overall record with a 6-6 mark in Badger North and the Beavers won twice at Mount Horeb, a site where Reedsburg has fared poorly through the years. Junior Steve Gavin wins the We Shall Overcome award with Senior Justin Bergman the recipient of the Live Like A Champion award. Junior Sam Peterson wins the award as Top Defensive Player and Senior Capreace Salinas, among the conference’s leading scorers all season, was voted Top Offensive Player. Salinas was a repeat selection on the all-league first team with Junior Nate Runde an all-conference second team choice this season.
