Reedsburg’s Capreace Salinas is the only repeat selection on the first team unit in all-league voting for Badger North boys basketball as recently announced. The Senior guard scored 15 points per game this season and is joined on the all-league first team unit by Seniors Ryan Kruser and Will Decorah from league champion Waunakee, Senior Daniel Beck, the leading scorer for the Portage Warriors, along with Senior Brett Minick from De Forest. Reedsburg Junior Nate Runde and Portage Senior Ian Taylor are among the five second team selections in the all-league voting this year along with Senior Josiah Owen of De Forest and two players from Mount Horeb-Senior Shane Collins and Junior Isiah Lesure. Junior guard Ty Schlichtmann is Baraboo’s lone representative in the all-league voting as he earns all-league honorable mention recognition after leading the Thunderbirds in scoring this year. Other area honorable mention selections include Juniors Jake Fiene, Simon Breunig and Tanner Leister from Sauk-Prairie and Senior Matt Bare of Portage. Waunakee won the league title at 11-1 with De Forest and Mount Horeb tying for second place at 8-4 followed by 6-6 Reedsburg, 5-7 Portage, 4-8 Sauk-Prairie and 0-12 Baraboo.
