A player from Hillsboro and two from league champion Royall High School are members of this year’s all-conference boys basketball team. Freshman Max Stockwell is Hillsboro’s lone representative on the all-league squad with Seniors Nate Scheeter and Sam Murphy both repeat selections for Royall with Scheeter winning Conference Player Of The Year honors as well. Others on the all-league squad include Junior Johnny Costello of New Lisbon, Sophomore Jordan Murphy and Junior Trey Horbinski of Necedah, Cashton Senior Caleb Fernholz, Brookwood Junior Dominic Luxton and Sophomore Canon O’Heron-Labeff and Junior Andrew Lockington from Bangor with Fernholz and O’Heron-Labeff joing Scheeter and Murphy as repeat selections. Area players earning all-league honorable mention include Juniors Brandon Stanek and Matt Anderson from Hillsboro, Seniors Eric Frye, Cory Frye and Clay Retzlaff from Royall and Seniors Palmer Schroeder and Gabe Benson from Wonewoc-Center. Area winners of the Sportsmanship award include Senior Nick Skala from Hillsboro, Senior Sam Murphy from Royall and Senior Chris Goodenough from Wonewoc-Center.
