WIAA State Wrestling Area Update For Thursday

D-1-Baraboo’s Trevor Hanson loses on a tech fall 21-6 in his first round match at 106 pounds, falling to 35-8 overall and he is now out of the tournament.

Sauk-Prairie’s Eddie Smith loses 6-2 in the first round at 113 pounds, falling to 40-9 on the season but will come back Friday morning in the consolation round

Portage’s Hunter Hayes is pinned in the first round at 120 pounds, falling to 23-8 on the season but is still alive and will be in the consolation round Friday morning

Reedsburg’s Nate Erbs loses 2-1 in his first round match at 126 with Erbs now 36-10 overall and is now out of the tournament

Austin Fjoser of Sauk-Prairie wins 8-1 at 132 pounds in the first round, advancing to tonight’s quarter-finals at 41-4 overall and Fjoser has now reached the semi-finals Friday night with a pin in the quarter-final round to go 42-4 on the season

Sauk-Prairie’s Austin Powell wins 3-2 in his first round match at 138 pounds as he moves on to the quarter-finals at 39-9 overall with Powell losing 6-3 in the quarter-finals and he comes back in the consolation round Friday morning at 39-10 overall

Baraboo’s Kolt Bode loses his first round match 24-12 at 145 pounds as his record goes to 34-11 for the season but is still alive and will wrestle in the consolation round after 10 AM Friday.

 Sauk-Prairie’s Brandon Sprecher wins his first round match 8-6 at 152 pounds, advancing to the quarter-finals tonight with a record of 38-8 but loses 3-1 in the quarter-finals and will come back in the consolation round Friday morning at 38-9

Sauk-Prairie’s Jared Schaaf pins his first round opponent at 170 to advance to the quarter-finals tonight at 31-10 where he wins again 9-1 to advance to the semi-finals Friday night at 32-10

Sauk-Prairie’s Caleb Sisbach advances to the quarter-finals at 195 pounds with 6-4 win in the first round, putting him at 40-5 overall but he loses a tough 7-6 decision in the quarter-finals but comes back in the consolation round Friday morning at 40-6 for the season

Nick Noye of Reedsburg loses 11-3 in his first round match at 220 pounds, falling to 33-14 on the season and he is now out of the tournament

 Spencer Shier of Portage loses 4-3 in the first round at 285 pounds, falling to 38-5 on the season and is now out of the tournament

Division Two-Max Obois of Wisconsin Dells loses his first round match at 126 9-3 and is out of the tournament at 31-15 overall

 Garrett Riek of River Valley lost at 170 pounds in the first round 4-2 and is out of the tournament at 33-13

River Valley’s Seth Liegel, Joe Crook and Zach Koch all were Sectional champs and get byes into the quarter-finals on Friday afternoon along with Spencer Davies and Colin Dolata of Mauston

Division Three-Hunter Dischler of Weston-Ithaca wins his first round match 14-1 at 106 and moves to the quarter-finals at 41-5

Stetson Clary for Weston-Ithaca loses 14-7 in the first round at 126 and is out of the tournament at 39-9

Cody Willis of Weston-Ithaca wins 4-3 in the first round at 152 and goes to the quarter-finals Friday at 39-5

Mason Mc Cauley loses 10-5 in the first round at 160 for Weston-Ithaca and is out of the tournament at 29-13

Atticus Sharp wins on a pinfall in the first round at 195 for Weston-Ithaca and moves on at 40-6

Spencer Treu of Hillsboro wins 6-0 in the first round at 160 and goes to the quarter-finals at 37-10

Max Sebranek of Hillsboro loses in the first round at 182 by a 6-0 score and is out of the tournament at 21-9

Dalton Lunde of Royall was injured this week and could not wrestle after qualifying from the Mineral Point Sectional

Wyatt Seep at 170 for Weston-Ithaca and Christian Moore of Royall at 220 were Sectional champs and automatically are in the quarter-finals Friday afternoon.
