WIAA Tournament Boys Hockey: Sauk-Prairie Coop 9 Baraboo-Portage 1-Baraboo-Portage was 2-0 vs Sauk in the regular season but their season ends Thursday night as they finish the season 12-7-2 overall. Sauk is now 13-10-1 overall and will play at Wisconsin Rapids Tuesday after they won 6-0 over the La Crosse Logan-Central Coop.

West Salem Coop 3 Reedsburg-Wisconsin Dells 2 in OT-RWD led for much of the game but West Salem’s Taylor Trapp scores a game-tying goal with 21 seconds left in regulation and then scores the game-winner in OT. Cortland Maxfield and Matt Olson had the RWD goals with Maxfield recording an assist and Tyler Arneson had 30 saves but RWD finishes 13-13 overall with two of the losses against 17-3-3 West Salem

WIAA Tournament Girls Hockey: Metro Lynx 2 Badger Thunder 0-Jamie Dutton in goal was strong with 20 saves to anchor a strong Thunder defense but the Thunder had only 13 shots on net offensively and were shut out for the third time this season, finishing the year at 7-16-2 overall.

Girls Basketballl: Non-Conference-Madison Edgewood 54 Baraboo 43-Edgewood shoots 70% from the floor in the second half while Baraboo shoots only 21% for the game as Baraboo suffers their third loss in the last six games after a 15-0 start. Edgewood is now 17-4 overall with a 14-1 record over the last 15 games and the loss may cost Baraboo the number one seed in the half-sectional bracket with Edgewood and 19-2 Monona Grove in position. Sam Terry scores 15 points and Emily Brinker 11 for the Thudnerbirds with Amanda Kelm scoring 18 for the Crusaders. Baraboo hosts De Forest next Thursday and a win would give Baraboo their second outright conference title in the last three years.

Badger North-Waunakee 66 Reedsburg 59, Waunakee drilled ten three-point goals in the game including five from Allie Taylor in the win as they improve to 9-2 in league play with Reedsburg’s eight-game win streak ending as they now stand 6-4 in the conference and 14-6 overall. Beth Maenpaa scores 20 points, Brittany Schyvinck a career high 13 and Tiernee Schronk 11 for the Beavers while Taylor led Waunakee with 17. Reedsburg plays a make-up at Sauk tomorrow afternoon.

De Forest 52 Sauk-Prairie 39-De Forest pulls away from a tie game at the half for the win which puts them at 7-4 for the conference while Sauk slips to 1-10 and 6-13 overall. Georgia Breunig had 20 0f the 39 points for Sauk with Kayla Goth scoring 11 for the Norskies.

Mount Horeb 57 Portage 45-A 15-3 second period edge was key for Mount Horeb who beats Portage for the second time. Mt Horeb is now 4-7 and they get17 points from Serena Pretti and for 1-10 Portage, Caitlyn Hibner scores 15 points and Addison Hemming 12.

South-Central Conference-Adams 51 Mauston 31, Adams stays atop the conference at 7-1 with Emma Roenneburg scoring 21

Westfield 50 Wautoma 39

Wisconsin Dells 45 Nekoosa 39-Dells sweeps the season series from the Papermakers and improves to 5-3 in the conference and 10-10 overall. Marissa Fernandez scores 15 points and Hunter Hickey 11 for the Lady Chiefs.

Scenic Bluffs Conference-Hillsboro 41 Wonewoc-Center 25-Hillsboro stays a game off the conference lead at 8-4 with nine different players scoring.

Royall 63 Necedah 20-Royall stays atop the conference with Brookwood at 9-3.

Bangor 55 New Lisbon 53 OT

SWC-Richland Center 53 River Valley 48-Laura Schmidt scores 12 points for River Valley but they fall to 0-9 in the conference season.
