High School boys basketball teams across the State now know their path for the road to the WIAA State Tournament. Seeding meetings were held over the weekend and the brackets in all divisions are now set with post-season play beginning next week. In D-2, Baraboo gets the 11 seed in the 11-team half-sectional and will play an opening round game at six seed Reedsburg Tuesday February 19th at 7 PM. The winner plays at three seed Mount Horeb in the next round. Sauk-Prairie is the nine seed and will play at eight seed Mc Farland on the 19th with the winner traveling to top seed Waunakee next Friday. Portage is the seven seed and will be at home vs ten seed Madison Edgewood on the 19th with the winner going to play two seed Monreo on the road Friday the 22nd.
Wisconsin Dells has the top seed in their 12-team half-sectional in D-3 and will host Westby or Platteville on the 22nd after getting a bye on the 19th. Richland Center as the two seed and Mauston as the three seed also get byes on Tuesday the 19th with River Valley as a five seed hoting 12 seed Adams among the games on the 19th with the winner likely to get Dodgeville in the next round.
Royall is the top seed in their eight-team Regional in D-5 and will host eight seed Weston on the 19th and other games that night include two seed Hillsboro hosting seven seed Wonewoc-Center, three seed La Farge hosting six seed Cashton and four seed Brookwood hosts five seed Kickapoo.
