Boys Basketball: Badger North-Baraboo at Reedsburg, This game and date was originally scheduled for Baraboo but adjustments earlier shifts tonight’s game to RAHS. Baraboo played an unbeaten Auburndale team tough Tuesday before losing 47-37 and that drops Baraboo to 1-17 for the season with 16 straight losses although the Thunderbirds did have a strong night in the rebounding and defensive department. Baraboo is 0-9 in league play. Reedsburg is 11-8 overall and 5-4 in the conference but are coming off a loss at Verona Tuesday. Capreace Salinas has scored 17 points or more in five straight games for the Beavers who pulled away late for a 56-34 win at Baraboo on January 15th. Waunakee at Sauk-Prairie-This game begins at 5:50 PM as part of a boys/girls doubleheader at Sauk tonight. Waunakee has already wrapped up the league title at 9-0, rallying earlier this week to defeat Portage. Sauk is 3-7 in the conference season after a win over Baraboo Saturday with the Eagles 9-10 overall, having lost three of their last five. Waunakee won 75-58 in the first meeting.

Mount Horeb at Portage-Mount Horeb plays their only conference game of the week this evening with the Vikings losing at home to Reedsburg last week to fall to 6-4 in league play. Portage is 4-5 in the conference after a second close loss to Waunakee this year on Tuesday with the Portage Warriors now 8-11 overall.

Thursday: Scenic Bluffs Conference-Hillsboro 53 Wonewoc-Center 41 as the Tigers snap a three game conference losing skid to go 6-6 in league play with Wonewoc now 2-10.

Royall 76 Necedah 39-Royall takes a stronger hold on the conference lead at 11-1 with a second blowout win over Necedah this year.

Bangor 66 New Lisbon 32-Bangor is second in the conference at 10-2.

Dodgeville at River Valley postponed to tonight in the SWC

Girls Basketball: Badger North-Thursday Baraboo 64 Mount Horeb 49 as Baraboo clinches a share of this year’s Badger North title. Baraboo couldn’t pull away from the scrappy Mount Horeb bunch until the middle of the fourth period but the Baraboo win puts them at 10-1 in the league and 17-1 overall. Emily Brinker scored 24 points including 11-13 at the foul line for the Thunderbirds with Sam Terry adding 14 points and nine rebounds with Carli Zimmerman scoring ten points and Isabel Schmelzer had ten rebounds as well with Baraboo dominating overall in the rebound department. Mount Horeb falls to 3-7 in league play with Cassie Handrick and Serena Pretti combining for 31 points in the loss. Baraboo plays at 12-4 Schofield DC Everest Saturday.

Badgr North-Waunakee at Sauk-Prairie, the Sauk girls fell to 1-8 in league play with a 52-41 loss in Reedsburg Tuesday and they lost Ali Roach to a shoulder injury as well with the Eagles 6-11 overall with eight straight losses on the season. Waunakee is 7-2 in league play, just behind Baraboo and they won 66-43 over Sauk in their first meeting. Sauk fans can see this game and the Waunakee-Sauk boys game live tonight on the Sauk-Prairie Eagle Sports Network, starting at 5;50 PM

South-Central Conference-Wisconsin Dells at Mauston, Dells is 3-3 in league play after a win over Wautoma Tuesday but they lost 58-50 to Mauston earlier, accounting for their only league win of the season. Dells is 8-9 overall, a big step up from last year with just a couple of wins all season.

Scenic Bluffs Conference-Hillsboro at Bangor, Hillsboro is 6-4 in league play while Bangor, Royall and Brookwood all share the top spot at 7-3 with Hillsboro a winner the first time around.

SWC-River Valley at Dodgeville, River Valley has yet to win a league game and they have four wins overall but they lost to the Dodgers in their first meeting.

Ridge and Valley Conference-Weston at Seneca, Weston is 4-6 in league play with Seneca leading the league at 10-1

Boys Hockey: Monroe at Sauk-Prairie Coop at 7 PM-This game was postponed from last night to this evening with Sauk at 11-10-1 overall but just 2-3-1 over the last six games.

Badger North-RWD at Waunakee at 7:45 PM. RWD is 1-4 in the conference and they are now 11-11 overall after a 7-1 loss at West Salem Tuesday but they’re just 3-6 in the new year. Waunakee is 3-2 in the conference and they will share the league title with the Sauk coop with a win and Sauk will win it outright if RWD wins tonight. Waunakee won the first meeting 5-3.

Baraboo-Portage vs Oshkosh postponed Thursday to Saturday with the game now at Pierce Park Pavillion at Baraboo at 6:15 PM Saturday.

Girls Hockey: Badger Thunder at Black River Falls at 7 PM- Thunder is 7-14-2 overall after a 5-1 loss to the Central Wisconsin Storm earlier this week with Black River Falls at 11-9-1 overall.
