Boys Basketball: Badger North-Portage at Baraboo, Baraboo is still looking for their first conference win at 0-7 and one of the losses was 45-27 at Portage back on December 8th. Baraboo is 1-14 overall with a 13-game losing skid after a 26-point loss to Milton last weekend in the Badger Challenge, falling behind big early. Portage lost by one point to Stoughton in the Challenge and the Warriors lost to Mount Horeb Monday as well, falling to 3-3 in the conference and 7-9 overall. Portage is one of the higher scoring teams in the area at 63 points per game with big man Daniel Beck at nearly 14 points per game. Dave Helwig and Terry Kieck have pre-game coverage at about 7:15 PM with game time around 7:30 PM tonight on 99.7 and AM 740-WRPQ Radio! The Thunderbirds go to Sauk-Prairie Saturday night, also on 99.7 FM!

Reedsburg at Mount Horeb-The Beavers have split their first eight conference games at 4-4 and Reedsburg got to 9-7 overall with a 58-46 win over River Valley Tuesday behind the 19 points of Capreace Salinas although the Beavers are just 3-4 in the month of January. Mount Horeb is second in Badger North at 6-2 and the Vikings won at Reedsburg 47-45 in the first meeting. Reedsburg also welcomes in Fort Atkinson Saturday.

Sauk-Prairie at De Forest-Sauk has fallen to 2-6 in league with four straight Badger North losses but the Eagles have won some impressive non-conference games this month over MG and Edgewood as well with the Eagles 9-8 overall. De Forest is 4-4 in league play with three straight conference wins. Sauk won 57-56 in the first meeting.

South-Central Conference-Wisconsin Dells at Mauston-Dells leads the conference standings at 8-0 and they’ll clnich another outright SCC title if they can win tonight. The Chiefs are 18-0 overall after a hard fought win at Lodi Monday in a matchup of state ranked teams. Mauston has enjoyed a big season as well with a 7-1 league mark and they are 14-4 overall including a 49-38 loss to Dells just over two weeks ago. Joel Heesch of Mauston and MJ Delmore and Shane Wimann of the Dells are the top scorers in the SCC and all will be on the floor tonight in Mauston.

Girls Basketball: Scenic Bluffs Conference-Cashton at Hillsboro, Hillsboro is 6-3 in the conference and a game back of first place Royall and Cashton is 3-6 and one of the six losses was at home to Hillsboro 42-40 a couple of weeks ago.

Bangor at Royall-Royall leads the conference at 7-2 with Bangor right behind at 6-3 with Royall winning 48-46 in the first meeting.

Wonewoc-Center at New Lisbon-Wonewoc is still winless in the conference season

Brookwood at Necedah

South-Central Conference: Adams-Friendship at Westfield-This make-up game is a first place showdown with both teams 4-0 in league play.

SWC-River Valley at Prairie Du Chien-River Valley is 0-6 in league play including a loss to Prairie Du Chien.

Boys Hockey: Greendale at Baraboo-Portage 6 PM at the Pierce Park Pavillion-Baraboo-Portage fell out of the title picture in Badger North with their loss to Waunakee Monday while Sauk’s coop won over RWD with Baraboo-Portage ending up 3-3 in the conference but they are 10-6-2 0verall and facing this team from Southeast Wisconsin that is 10-10-1 overall. Note the early start time of 6 PM tonight at the Pierce Park Pavillion.

Tomah vs Reedsburg-Wisconsin Dells at RACA in Reedsburg at 7 PM-This is a make-up from a December 20th postponement with RWD now 10-9-1 after a 5-1 loss to the Sauk-Prairie coop Tuesday with still four games left on the schedule.

Girls Hockey: Fond Du Lac oop vs Badger Thunder at Sauk-Prairie at 7 PM-Thunder fells to 6-12-2 overall Tuesday with a 9-2 loss in Stoughton after the Thunder had won three in a row in Beaver Dam last weekend. Fond Du Lac takes the place of Arrowhead on the schedule for this date with Fondy at 6-12-1 on the season, making for an even matchup tonight. Badger Thunder also goes to Viroqua for Badger Conference action Friday night.

Wrestling: South-Central Conference-Westfield at Wisconsin Dells, This dual is a make-up from the December 20th postponement with both teams 2-2 in the conference dual season and looking for a third place standing behind Mauston and Nekoosa going into Saturday’s conference tourney in Mauston.

Gymnastics: Waunakee at Reedsburg 7 PM
