Girls Basketball: Badger North-Baraboo 56 Sauk-Prairie 28, Baraboo built a 31-9 halftime lead and cruised to their second win over Sauk this year. Sauk had 25 turnovers against Baraboo’s stifling defense and the Eagles shot just 20% from the floor. The 28 points allowed were the second fewest for Baraboo with a 15-0 overall record and 8-0 in the conference now after the win. Sam Terry and Emily Brinker each had 17 points and Isabel Schmelzer 11 for Baraboo while Ali Roach led Saukl with seven as the Eagles fall to 1-6 in the conference and 6-9 overall.
Reedsburg 47 Portage 43-Reedsburg wins a close game vs Portage for the second time this season to go 4-3 in the league with Portage now 0-7. Reedsburg was up 38-23 after three periods but had to hang on as Portage closed to within three in the final seconds with a 20-point final period. Beth Maenpaa had 15 points and Meghan Douglas nine for Reedsburg while Freshman Caitlyn Hibner had 20 points in the loss for the Warriors who are 3-14 overall with Reedsburg now 10-5.
Waunakee 63 Mount Horeb 37-Waunakee improves to 6-2 in Badger North with Mount Horeb now 3-5 with their second 20 plus points loss to Waunakee.

Boys Basketball: Reedsburg 58 River Valley 46-Reedsburg improves to 9-7 with Capreace Salinas scoring 19 points to lead the Beavers. River Valley falls to 11-6 overall with Taylor Thering scoring 15 for the Blackhawks.
Scenic Bluffs Conference-Bangor 59 Royall 52-1st conference loss of the season for Royall with Bangor now within one game of first place.

Boys Hockey: Badger North-Sauk-Prairie Coop 5 RWD 1, The Sauk group clinches at least a share of the conference title as they finish 4-2 in Badger North and they’re now 11-9-1 overall. RWD falls to 1-4 in conference and 10-8-1 overall with their second loss to Sauk. Luke Mc Elhenie, Matt Streber, Jacob Free, Jackson Gundlach and Michael Wenzel all scored for Sauk with Sean Teske scoring the lone RWD goal. Koty Ranum returned to the lineup with 22 saves in net for the Sauk coop.
Girls Hockey: Badger Conference-Stoughton Icebergs 9 Badger Thunder 2, Thunder falls to 1-7-1 in league play and 6-12-2 overall with their second loss to Stoughton who is now 6-2 in the conference. Courtney Sakry and Rachel Pawlak scored goals for the Thunder in the loss.
