Girls Basketball: Badger North-Baraboo 63 Portage 45, Baraboo outscores Portage 24-6 in the third period to take control. Portage outrebounds Baraboo and shoots 37% from the floor compared to 30% for the Thunderbirds but Baraboo outscvores Portage 19-9 at the foul line. Emily Brinker shook off a wrist injury to score 19 points with Sam Terry adding 16 points and 12 rebounds with Anna Schmelzer contributing 12 points as well as Baraboo goes to 13-0 overall and 6-0 in the league. Portage is 0-5 in conference and 3-12 overall with Emily Grunder scoring 16. Baraboo has an important Badger North game at De Forest Thursday night.

Non-Conference-River Valley 47 Mauston 44, Hannah Mueller scores 13 points and Laura Schmidt 12 for 4-10 River Valley, snapping a seven-game losing streak. Andrea Thomas scores 18 points for 3-9 Mauston.

Scenic Bluffs Conference-Hillsboro 30 New Lisbon 23, Hillsboro moves into a first place tie at 6-2 with the win while New Lisbon falls to 5-2. Hillsboro limited New Lisbon to just nine points through the first three periods.

Royall 37 Cashton 33-Royall shares first place at 6-2

Brookwood 34 Wonewoc-Center 29-Brookwood also has a share of first place

Bangor 50 Necedah 43

Boys Basketball: Badger North-Waunakee 72 Baraboo 34, Waunakee controlled the contest, building a 37-13 halftime lead, Baraboo did not get a lot of shot attempts in the game with 22 turnovers and Waunakee also buries nine three-point shots. Baraboo is 0-7 in the conference and 1-13 overall with Joe Bruni scoring nine points with Waunakee now 7-0 in the league and getting 15 points from Jacob Block and 14 from Will Decorah.

De Forest 45 Reedsburg 40-Reedsburg falls to 4-4 in the conference with three of those losses at home, Nate Runde scored 11 for the Beavers while De Forest gets 14 points from Brett Minick as they get to 4-4 in the conference, outscoring the Beavers 15-7 at the foul line.

Mount Horeb 50 Sauk-Prairie 47-Sauk slips to 2-6 in league play in this tight affair with Mount Horeb now 5-2 in the conference. Simon Breunig and Jake Fiene each score 13 for Sauk with Isiah Lesure leading the Vikings with 14 as they sweep the regular season series from the Eagles.

South-Central Conference-Wisconsin Dells 83 Adams-Friendship 46, Dells scores 49 first half points as they top 80 points for the 6th time. Shane Wimann scores a season high 30 points and MJ Delmore 21 for the unbeaten Chiefs.

Mauston 68 Wautoma 43-Joel Heesch erupts for 40 points for a Mauston team that is one game back of Wisconsin Dells in the SCC.

Nekoosa 59 Westfield 44

Non-Conference-Portage 67 Madison Edgewood 51, Daniel Beck and Ian Taylor score 16 points each for Portage who outscored Edgewood in each quarter to go 7-7 overall.

Scenic Bluffs Conference-Brookwood 69 New Lisbon 41

Boys Hockey: Badger North-RWD 5 Baraboo-Portage 4, the teams combiend for five power play goals with Baraboo-Portage scoring three of them. Adam Stanton had two goals with TJ Laux and Brett Mc Cutchin scoring goals as well for Baraboo-Portage with Andrew Schulenburg each scoring twice for RWD with Colin Scanlon also scoring. RWD is 1-3 in the conference and 10-6-1 overall with Baraboo-Portage now 9-5-2 overall and 3-2 in Badger North.

Sauk-Prairie Coop 5 Waunakee 4, Sauk sweeps the regular season series and moves back into a share of the Badger North lead at 3-2 with a 10-7-1 overall mark with Waunakee 2-2 in the conference. Sauk trailed 3-2 in the third period but got consecutive goals from Logan Diehl, Sam Hefty and Jackson Gundlach as Sauks gets a key conference victory.Luke Mc Elhenie and Matt Streber also scored goals for the Sauk coop.

Wrestling: Badger North-Portage 35 Waunakee 33, Portage notches their first and only conference dual win of the season.

Non-Conference-Sparta 41 Weston-Ithaca 29, W-I winners included Clayton Prouty, Cody Willis, Wyatt Seep, Atticus Sharp and Stetson Clary with one forfeit win.

Richland Center 46 River Valley 25-River Valley winners included Alec Bass, Mason Wipperfurth, Joe Crook, Seth Liegel and Garrett Riek

Brookwood 54 Hillsboro 18

Boys Swimming: Mc Farland 108 Baraboo 62-The only Baraboo winner was Tanner Craker in the 100 butterfly.

Sauk-Prairie-Wisconsin Heights 138 DeForest 32, The Sauk group wins every event with Bryan Frosch a double winner individually
