Boys Hockey: Baraboo Coop 12-0 over Grafton at the Culvers Cup in Madison-Joe Beale scored three goals, Adam Stanton two, Brett Mc Cutchin had a goal and two assists as Baraboo outshot the opposition 36-12. Baraboo’s Coop, now 5-2, meets MG at 3:30 PM today in the winners bracket at Madison Ice Arena.
Kenosha 6-5 over RWD in OT at the Monk’s Cheeseburger Classic in Lake Delton-Jordan Bill scores three goals for RWD including the game-tying goal with less than four minutes left in regulation, Tyler Arneson had 21 saves for RWD who faces Beloit at 5 PM today in the losers bracket. RWD is now 6-4 overall.
Sauk-Prairie boys hockey Coop wins 6-1 over Baldwin-Woodville in the opening round of the Spooner Tournament-Luke Mc Elhenie added to his state leading goal total with three more Thursday for Sauk, giving him 26 for the season, and Koty Ranum stopped 13 of 14 shots as the Sauk group improves to 8-5 overall.
Girls Hockey: Badger Thunder loses 7-0 to Milwaukee University School in the opening round of the Culvers Cup girls tourney in Madison-Thunder falls to 2-7 overall and were outshot 44-13. Badger Thunder faces Arrowhead in the losers bracket today at 8 AM at Madison Ice Arena.
Girls Basketball: Baraboo wins 62-33 over Waterford in Baraboo-Sam Terry had 19 points and Carli Zimmerman 15 for the 6-0 T-Birds who outscoreed Waterford in each period. Baraboo faces Richland Center in Baraboo this afternoon at 4 PM.
Reedsburg edges Richland Center 56-50 in Baraboo-Beth Maenpaa scores a season high 25 points for the 4-1 Beavers who outscored the Hornets 17-8 in the final period. Reedsburg faces Waterford today at 1 PM in Baraboo.
Pecatonica 54-29 over Weston at the Pecatonica Holiday Tourney-Katie Kat had 14 for 3-4 Weston who will fae River Ridge in tonight’s consolation game.
Royall loses 40-37 to Brookwood and 28-27 vs Westby at the Royall High School Tournament.
Boys Basketball: Sauk-Prairie wins 77-64 over Belleville in the Barneveld Tournament-Tanner Lesiter scores 18, Jake Fiene 17 and Bailey Breunig 15 for the 5-4 Eagles who will face Evansville tonight in the title game of the tourney.
Wrestling: Reedsburg wins all five duals at the Eau Claire Memorial Invite with victories over Eau Claire Memorial, Superior, Eau Claire North, Maple Grove, Minnesota and Tomahawk. Nate Erbs, Nick Noye, Macklin Bautch and Nick Sieber all went unbeaten for the Beavers.
