Wrestling: Tomah Scramble-Baraboo 8th and Reedsburg 9th in team scoring with David Gale the champ at 195 for Baraboo with Kolt Bode, Riley Fichter, Hudson Greenwood and Willie Pierce all with top three finishes for Baraboo as well while Aaron Lopp, Logan Lewerenz, Austin Bretsch and  Wyatt Rabuck had top three’s for Reedsburg, Cameron Dahlgren for Mauston and Christian Moore of Royall won titles at Tomah with Lancaster the team champ.

Sun Prairie Bob Downing Scramble-Sauk-Prairie second behind Fort Atkinson with Austin Fjoser and Caleb Sisbach winning titles for the Eagles with Eddie Smith, Austin Powell, Jordan Powell and Brandon Sprecher with top three’s as well

Dells Duals at Chula Vista-Dells 2nd behind Aquinas in the Blue Division, the Chiefs won duals over Fond Du Lac, Whitnall and Plymouth with losses to Cumberland and Aquinas, Willie Vandenlangenberg 4-0 on the day for Dells with Justin Fuller, Bryan Ugalde, Max Obois and John Mor all with one loss.

Boys Basketball: Badger North-Portage 45 Baraboo 27-Baraboo goes scoreless over a nine-minute stretch in the second half as Portage takes control with Baraboo now under 30 points in four of their five games this season, Daniel Beck scores 16 points for Portage now 1-0 in the league and 2-3 overall with Baraboo now 0-2 in the conference and 1-4 overall with Austin Sandoval scoring nine for the Thunderbirds.

Mount Horeb 47 Reedsburg 45-Neither team led by more than six points with Capreace Salinas potential game-tying basket just after the final buzzer for Reedsburg, Salinas scores 17 for the Beavers who are now 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference and Isiah Lesure scores 16 for the Vikings who are now 3-0 in Badger North.

Sauk-Prairie 57 De Forest 56-Sauk wins their first league game to go 1-1 in conference and 2-3 overall, Simon Breunig scores 17 and Bailey Breunig 12 for Sauk who owned a nine-point halftime lead before De Forest rallied, Jeff Berry scored 20 for the Norskies who are 0-3 in league play.

River Valley 66 Wautoma 28 at JAG in Wisconsin Dells with Taylor Thering scoring 14 for the Blackhawks

Dodgeville 75 Adams-Friendship 49 with Drake Hodkewicz scoring 19 for Adams

Girls Basketball: River Valley 42 Wautoma 36-Morgan Johnson scores 11 for River Valley

Adams-Friendship 51 Dodgeville 45-Emma Roenneburg scores 14 for Adams who rallies from a six-point halftime defecit to deal Dodgeville their first loss of the young season

Girls Hockey: Badger Thunder 3 Appleton United 2 OT-First win of the season for the Thunder with Rachel Pawlak scoring the game-wiiner with just over a minute left, Jamie Dutton had 44 saves in goal for the Thunder with Allison Blada and Spencer Natzke scoring goals as well for the 1-5 Thunder.

Boys Swimming: Sauk-Prairie-Wisconsin Heights Coop 4th and Baraboo 7th in team scoring at the Fort Atkinson Invite, Baraboo’s Tanner Craker places 3rd in the 50 Free and Brian Cormican 3rd in the 100 Free and the 200 Free Relay group of Brian Cormican, Craker, Daniel O’Rourke and Sean Cormican placed second, Sauk’s Bryan Frosch and Andrew Meng had top three individual finishes as well.

UW-Baraboo Sauk County Men’s Basketball plays the University Of Dubuque JV in Dubuque tonight with the Fighting Spirits at 1-5 and looking to snap a five-game losing skid.
